Asthma is a chronic disease and its incidence is rising both in developed as well as in developing countries. Changes in the scientific concepts of asthma in recent years have forced scientists to define diagnostic criteria and the framework of rational therapy of asthma in their meetings. Today, inflammation has been recognized as the main feature of pathology in asthma , therefore in treating asthma not only overcoming branch constriction but also the treatment of inflammation should be contemplated. Like other chronic disease in treating asthmatics education of the patients is of Paramount importance and finally it has to be mentioned that a logic therapeutic schedule should be based on the severity of the disease and any therapeutic plan should be revised once a while according to the patients new disease condition.
